Nov 2024 - Due to recent political upheavals, I will be required to seek a more lucrative use of my time in order to pay off various debts and will no longer be able to continue contributing to the wiki on a purely voluntary basis as much as I have in recent months. The following are the projects I left unfinished:

AC Origins

The King of Kings – Nefertari dialogue, which fires under as-yet undetermined circumstances. W/o reloadable saves, hard to isolate a trigger

Traveled north a little bit, near the Pavilion of Judgement, then...

  • Nefertari: His throne remembers him, between the two scepters, this dignity of his spirit.

At the Battlefield of Kadesh

  • Nefertari: You bring my dearheart closer to peace.

Performing a Leap of Faith from the viewpoint...

  • Nefertari: The face of the god is open, revealed.

Near the underground Scorpion Lair where an eye (Ka) is found...

  • Nefertari: The sky is overcast, the stars darkened.

In the scorpion lair, recovering the eye...

  • Nefertari: Elect of Ra! His servant bears down upon you, carries his yoke. Keen your blade, cup-bearer.

^Elect of Ra means "Chosen of Ra," which was a title for Ramesses. Who is Ra's servant? The scorpion? What about Serqet? Yoke = plank used to bind two beasts of burden together at the neck to pull a load. Cup-bearer = Bayek.
Also, a scroll in the tomb...

  • I have seen things...: Things that cannot be believed. Chariots aflame, struck down by the bow of Orion. Imperishable stars, dying eternally. And through it all this frail world, held together by spider's silk, teetering on the edge of nothingness.

Using Senu to survey the Battlefield of Kadesh...

  • Nefertari: There is no god, no god in the stars, who has not his companion by his side. Shall I be thy companion?

^Is she... volunteering to take Senu's place?

Collecting the right eye/second eye at the Maryannu Camp...

  • Nefertari: He sees the sapphire, the cerulean, the turquoise as stars. The dust veil lifted from his eyes.
  • Nefertari: The cunning must feast upon their own tail.

Releasing a Ba from the Siege of Dapur... No dialogue from Bayek like the quest page suggests. But it does trigger after walking into the main area of the siege.

  • Bayek: The spoils of war? These are the Bas of People taken captive during Ramesses' battles.

Releasing a different Ba, but not the last one...

  • Nefertari: Merciful is he! His Hemset freed, falling from the firmament unto the sand.
  • Nefertari: Thou art become victorious and filled every atom with thy beauty.
  • Nefertari: Encompass the heaven, the earth, all things in thine arms.

Releasing another Ba.

  • Nefertari: Cobalt stars in the empyrean. Let thy imperishable ka be seated.

^Is this delayed from the Ka quest? In my playthrough, it was fully completed before this point.

That's all I found.

Legacy

Episode 2
Safe Passage (Odyssey)

Listing the Ikaros sightings of the eight trinkets. Probably not necessary, since the game only has so many stock phrases for finding objects and thus re-uses them here.

Starting from facing south from the dock, after speaking to the drunken foreman, and working east from the nearest on the player's right:

  1. Rightmost/westernmost, near the rock – There it is!
  2. In the caves in the center of the encampment, in a shallow pool – Found it!
  3. Past the camps, nearest in the shallows of the lagoon under a rock – Here it is.
  4. Deeper in lagoon, near a wrecked ship and a shark – That's what I'm looking for.
  5. Under a rock out at sea north of previous trinket – There it is!
  6. Out at sea near the sharks – I see it.
  7. Slightly further east from previous trinket – Found it!
  8. Bushes on the easternmost part of Shipwreck Cove – That's what I'm looking for.

Atlantis

Fields of Elysium

Okay, it's actually not Delos levels of bad, but the referencing of every comment ever chosen is pretty annoying and evokes the same sentiment.

I wrote up as much as I could from the route I ended up on—All optional conditions fulfilled ideally, Leonidas sacrificed, flame kept from either side, friendship with Hermes broken, Hekate exiled, Adonis befriended but not romanced— and left notes of variables I believe have significant effects on dialogue, while also segmenting the page so that they can be easily filled in. I really hope Valhalla is as "streamlined" as Ubi claims...

  • Primary master save file for exploring dialogue should have:
  • Secondary save file (should save 40-60 min. of running around) should be set:
    • Completion of "Wave 1" quests i.e. "Meet Your Makers"—Lover and Fighter, Sudden and New, Dark Horse, Keeper and Key Maker, with decisions set for Adonis—to take the first Flirt or not—and horse.
    • Completion of Dead Kings and Pretty Things up to second Flirt. Available w/o taking first.
    • Completion of The Keeper and Kyros up to talking to Kyros at the crossroads. Do not kill rebels for "best" results. Hell, don't even get detected.
    • Completion of Good News up to recruiting Silver Tongue. Liberate Theron for "best" results, though he doesn't seem to affect much after Have Another Drink.
  • Tertiary save file, to explore Adonis romance:
    • Hekate quest line through 'Have Another Drink' completed. Hermes only up until raiding the Human Encampment to free Kyros, but clean out the Mausoleum beforehand, because that'll have to be done to clear Hermes' quest line in a timely fashion, in case one of those variables affects something in Adonis' line.
  • Notes on Adonis:
    • Killing rebels during Hermes' quests will affect Adonis relationship negatively, but no dialogue reflects this during 'Dead Kings and Pretty Things' or 'Persephone's Little Birds' as a result of this. It will be strictly in 'The Beacons are Lit' and beyond, if at all.
    • References Orphnaeus if he was given to the rebel cause. The rest of Dead Kings/Pretty Things is straightforward. Flirt option available even w/o first one.
    • Flirting with him and coming on strong doesn't seem to be too detrimental, save for the Flirt option in 'Little Birds.' Encouraging him to forget about Aphrodite definitely backfires, given the context.
    • Little Birds – Messenger is the true threat, but blacksmith works for Aphrodite, need to kill latter for unique dialogue/romance progression.
    • The Beacons Are Lit - Romance viability determined at the end of this quest. 2 Flirt options were insufficient, but the latter 3 were, even w/o taking the very first.
    • Shagging Adonis is solely responsible for his worst ending, regardless of any potential fallout dialogues afterwards.
    • Eternal Flame isn't given until just before the battle, if the corresponding option was taken in 'Keeper and Flame'.
    • Persephone quest sits between 'Birds' and 'Beacons', requires completion of Hermes quest line.
  • Notes on Persephone:
    • Leonidas or Kyros - At the end of the episode she reneges on her promise to bring back the loved one, so spare Leonidas. How does Kyros' death affect the rebellion? Leonidas is alive to join the fight, but if Kyros is kept alive and not exposed, what happens? Google seems to do a bad job of answering this.
Seems to affect Adonis' self-doubt during 'Beacons'
Kyros seems to contribute nothing at all to the Conquest Battle and final outcome. Shame, would've been interesting to fight him possessed as the other side's "Hero", instead of a Kolossus.
  • Notes on Hekate:
Hypothesis: If Hekate is still trusted, Adonis will be burned. If not, he will be allowed to leave, face intact. Unless the player romances him. Then he'll be burned even worse than if Hekate was still trusted, regardless of her fate.

Finally, Give 'Em Hades must be completed. If left until the end, will prevent starting Adonis' final quest and the Conquest Battle. At the same time, it's a good buffer to get more time to complete Free Their Minds, the Rest Will Follow.

Torment of Hades

  • Consider running the side quests after defeating Hades. He doesn't show up at points where he should, might be interesting to note. Or, we can forego those results since, canonically-speaking, Kassandra moves on from realm to realm and never goes back.
  • Could actually just be the result of having found and recruited Achilles. Hades only offers his location in exchange for the flower. Use Brasidas quest to check.
The Dead – Curious Consideration

7 of the 11 Fallen are characters encountered during the main quests and killed therein, along with a few others who make appearances in Hades' realm. However, through some creative gameplay, some deaths can be actively avoided. While I'm not 100% sure on how far the main Odyssey quest must progress before beginning the Atlantis DLC, I wonder how many deaths can be avoided, and if this is reflected in the DLC episode. It'd be a long campaign to figure out, though.

At the very least, player must complete Atlantis main quest, beginning of which is denied until finding Myrrine and securing Naxos in Chapter 7. This rules out pre-Chapter 7 deaths:

  • Cyclops of Kephallonia - Prologue boss, must die.
  • The Poisoner - Killed in Chapter 4, but if I recall he could be KO'd and recruited. Though I also recall the bug from The Truth Will Out, in which recruited enemies flag as dead—which was reflected in the Pythia getting interrogated.
  • Testikles - Shark food in, but not before, Chapter 7.
  • Epiktetos - Comes down with a case of Deimos in Chapter 2.
  • The Monger - Killed in Chapter 5.
  • Swordfish - Minotaur can be killed without fighting Swordfish. Just complete Full Circle, get the disk from Ardos, kill Minotaur, claim artifact, continue with Atlantis main quest.
  • Deianeira and Astra - Killing Astra can be avoided during the Boeotia campaign—if Chapter 7 completion and therefore killing Deianeira is even required—but they'll both show up. Is Astra simply deleted from the main world after Deianeira dies?
  • In regards to the big side quests, Phoibe dies in Chapter 6, but Brasidas doesn't die until Chapter 8. If Chapter 8 completion is not required, he doesn't have to die and show up for his side quest chain. On that note, how would a pre-Chapter 8 entry affect "loved one" options in Episode 1's A Life for a Life? Would it default to Phoibe?
  • Of course, the easy answer to all of this would be "DLC just assumes the main story is done," but after that 12-hour run I made grinding up a file to beat the Minotaur pre-Myrrine, I wonder... and I also offed Swordfish for the XP, so I can't just advance the file I built up.

Judgment of Atlantis

  • Blood Gets In Your Eyes - All other quests are required. Do them before ever talking to Elpis for smoothest transition and checking of dialogue variables.


Valhalla

Map unlock orders

  1. Cambridge + Leicester --> East Anglia and Oxford
  2. Either of East Anglia or Oxford --> Shropshire
  3. All three of East Anglia, Shropshire, and Oxford required --> Kent
  4. Kent --> Sussex. None of London (Erke and Stowe), York (Ljufvina), Winchester (no one), Lincoln (Hunwald), Essex (Birstan), or Nottingham (Vili) are actually required for Sussex, thus it is possible to go into that questline with a skeleton crew of Ubba, Soma, Brothir and Broder, Deorlaf, and Basim.
  5. Sussex --> Gloucester.
    1. London alone unlocks York. York + Oxford are required to unlock Winchester.
    2. York + Sussex are required to unlock Yorkshire.
    3. Nottingham unlocks at Settlement Level 4. No other conditions fulfill it. It is possible to do this at the very start of the game by metagame-raiding enough supplies to renovate 12 buildings.
  6. All territories, with the exception of Vinland and Valka's dream quests, are required to unlock the pledge to Hordafylke.
  7. Pledge to Hampton unlocks upon returning from Hordafylke.

Arc post-mortem dialogues

These are basically "check-ins" that Eivor can do at any point after the arc is successfully completed out. Probably fit best on the very last quest page before the "Reporting on [shire]" memory, but there are exceptions. The following are for Lincoln:

Hunwald ealdorman, talking to Aelfgar:

  • Eivor: Lord Aelfgar.
  • Aelfgar: Eivor. Things certainly are interesting with Hunwald as ealdorman. He's making most of his father's mistakes, but with a passion and honesty I quite admire.
  • Eivor: Hardly surprising. I hope you'll be there for him if he needs help.
  • Aelfgar: I will. Rest assured.

(oddly, I got this after Holy Day)
Grim:

  • Eivor: Grim.
  • Grim: I do not envy you the position you were in with Lincolnscire. I lead Grimsby simply enough, but to choose the fate and bruise the ego of not one but three men? It's not how we Danes should be spending our precious days.
  • Eivor: I am not above unpleasant work. I do what's needed for my settlement and its people.
  • Grim: Better than most, my friend. I wish you good fortune in the times ahead.

Raeganhere:

  • Raeganhere: I wish you the best of luck in your endeavours, Dane.

Oddly enough, Acha hates having either of Hunwald or Aelfgar as ealdorman, even though Herefrith betrays the shire.
Essexe next, talking to Alfida and Birstan (may be post-Suthsexe dependent, so keep an eye out.)

  • Alfida: Eivor. You have graced us with your presence. My heart is glad to see you.
  • Eivor: And I you, Alfida. How is your life of luxury as Birstan's wife?
  • Alfida: There is much to be thankful for, and much to lament. The thegns mutter and snort like nadless bulls. But Aldrich is fun company.
  • Eivor: And Eluric?
  • Alfida: O, he comes and goes. Sometimes drunk and belligerent, sometimes cursing and eyes wet with recrimination.
  • Eivor: I'm sorry for that.
  • Alfida: Do not be. Birstan is a loving and attentive husband. And I expected no life of love and care so late in my summers. You gave that to us.
  • Eivor: Stay well and live true, Alfida. Birstan needs your strength and kindness.
  • Birstan: Eivor, it is good to see you well.
  • Eivor: Birstan. How fares your new family? Has Eluric returned?
  • Birstan: He has, but more and more he leaves us for drinking and who know what else. He cannot let the storm of his anger calm.
  • Eivor: And Alfida, how is she?
  • Birstan: She is a strong and merry wife, and I love her deeply, passionately. More than I thought possible. She promises me Eluric will return to us. It will just take him time, for pride is a hurt slow to heal.
  • Eivor: I am glad to hear it.
  • Birstan: You gave me great happiness, Eivor. Essexe will always be your ally, and I your friend.
  • Eivor: The months ahead may bring us back together. Until then, be well.

Findings that may be useful to know but don't really fit anywhere

The enemy knocking on the door at Scotthoh Farm may call out to Eivor by name, despite having no reason to. It is likely their action is flagged to recycle dialogue used in monastery raids where a raider waits to breach a door or open a large coffer with Eivor's help (an action that always requires two people)

Randvi can stack various conditional and followup comments in a single instance of reporting back to her at the Alliance Map, the aftermath of East Anglia being the main driver of such an occurrence. Her tone ends up swinging wildly between lines in accordance with the mood of each event firing:

  • Randvi: O, hello, Eivor. Good day. --Prelude to Taken for Granted, precedes the others
  • Randvi Word of our growing settlement has reached outside ears. So have a look around... you may see a few new faces. --Tied to growing the settlement as part of the ongoing A New Home, and new people arriving. This fires next.
  • Randvi: That Holger, he is quite a character. --Followup from the trial in Mane and Tail. This is required before we can talk to Randvi in the war room post-Oxford or post-East Anglia (whichever came first)

Finally, Eivor delivers her report and the raven token goes on the map.

  • Randvi: Some interesting news. King Ceolwulf has sent Ceolbert to Sciropescire. He hopes to install him as ealdorman there.
  • Eivor: Good for Ceolbert. He should do well, considering all he has learned from you.
  • Randvi: I gave him only a taste of my knowledge. The rest he will need to figure for himself.

--After both Grantebridgescire and Ledecestrescire, followed by Rued's attack on the settlement, Ceolbert stays at Ravensthorpe for a single arc. After which, he moves to Sciropescire and that arc unlocks.
If all this follows up from East Anglia as that arc, Randvi will announce Svend's passing.

  • Randvi: One more thing... I do not know if you heard, but Svend passed away a short time ago. The poor man slipped away in his bed. --Part of Carrying the Torch, which always follows up from completing East Anglia.

Ceolbert has a comment for the first time a pledge is made while he is present in the war room:

  • Ceolbert: Rest assured, Eivor, the settlement is in safe hands.

On my file it was Ledecestrescire -> Grantebridgescire, so it fired as The Great Scattered Army began. Unknown if this would apply to Walls and Shadows, Brewing Rebellion, or Kingmaker (or even Old Friends. I still have that file, might be worth setting up)

Collecting the treasure of Britain below Grime's Graves, Eivor says:

  • Eivor: Another strangely marked artefact...

Even if it's the very first one she picked up.

Layla notices the dead plants after coming out of the Animus (because Shaun didn't water them, as the owner of this Airbnb instructed)

  • Layla: Damn. Someone won't be happy.

The plants are later replaced after another Animus break.

If Leofrith is spared, he will be present at the docks of Lincoln awaiting a ship to Rome. I encountered him during Homecoming but it's not specifically tied to that memory, so that conversation doesn't really fit anywhere. Here it is:

  • Leofrith: Eivor... why does it not surprise me to see you here.
  • Eivor: Leofrith... following through with chasing down Burgred, I see.
  • Leofrith: You said it yourself, his betrayal is worth a thousand deaths. I'm just waiting on a ship to take me to Rome.
  • Eivor: You'll give him my regards.
  • Leofrith: Gladly.

Eivor spoke to Leofrith again.

  • Leofrith: I will find him, the coward king. Tomorrow or next year. And when I do, I will give him one long breath to plead his traitor's case.

Eivor spoke to Leofrith once more.

  • Leofrith: Burgred can flee his kingdom, flee his people, but he cannot flee his fate. I will see to it personally.

Eivor spoke to Leofrith once again.

  • Leofrith: Do not get in my way, Eivor. This is something I need to do.
