Woody Shinnings was a virtual representation of one of Evie Frye's genetic memories, relived by a Helix initiate through the Helix Navigator.
Description
Evie hunts down Woody Shinnings, an actor wanted for the murder of another actor, Richard Altman.
Dialogue
Approaching the target, Evie heard him talking with a Rook.
- Rook 1: 'Av you gone stak ravin' mad? Those 'whores' are gess poor women like me and you!
- Shinnings: With all the peelers workin' the Ripper case, I've been makin' meself a bloody fortune... Pickin' pockets, robbin' shops, exortin' whores for protection fees -- you name it! You can get a way with murder...I mean literally.
- Rook 1: I wouldn't go around bragging about it... There are plenty of police not in uniform 'round 'ere you know...
Evie snuck up on Shinnings, kidnapping him. Getting him into a carriage, Evie then brought him to Frederick Abberline.
- Abberline: Leave him with me, I'll see that justice is done. Thank you.
I'll take that miscreant off your hands now, Miss Frye.
Outcome
Evie located Woody Shinnings and brought him to Inspector Abberline, earning his gratitude.
Behind the scenes
In the memory's description, the target is referred to as Michael Stiff instead of Woody Shinnings.
The events of the memory appear to be loosely based on a real-life incident that occurred in London in December 1897, when actor William Terriss was fatally stabbed outside the Adelphi Theatre by fellow actor Richard Archer Prince.
