Doctor Warren Vidic is a scientist (the exact position is not clear) of Abstergo Industries. He is the head of research for genetic memory and the Animus project. He also plays the role of the main antagonist in the series (Modern Times).
Assassin's Creed

Warren makes his first appearence in the beginning of the game after his assistant Lucy gets Desmond out of the animus. Once doing so, he threatens Desmond to cooperate with them and get in the animus, or they will knock him unconscious, get the data they need from him and leave him to die. When Desmond is taken out of the animus a second time he is seen urging Lucy to keep Desmond in the animus for another hour or two, but he is taken to another room and starts getting yelled at by Lucy. He dismisses Desmond and is seen again the next morning watching over Desmond as he wakes up. Throughout most of his appearences he is usually seen waking Desmond up from a nap, then answering several of Desmonds questions, and yells to Desmond to get in the animus when he does not. Eventually, while he is drinking coffee and looking out a window, his access key/pen is stolen by Desmond.
After Altair kills Al Mualim and activates the Piece of Eden, he can be heard saying "we've got it" reffering to the data abstergo was looking for. When Desmond is taken out of the animus, Warren is seen talking to three men dressed in black uniforms from a different room. Once they leave, Warren and Lucy argue for several seconds then leave the animus room with Desmond alone to do as he pleases.
Assassin's Creed II
Template:Spoiler Vidic is not seen until the end of the story, furious about Desmond and Lucy escaping Abstergo, reminding Lucy that he saved her life once, he then brings out some Abstergo guards, quickly dispatched by the recently skill-honed Desmond and Lucy. Vidic is forced to leave the hideout, swearing that this is not the last they've seen of him, as he rides out in a truck. During the credits, Lucy however does tell that one day, she and Desmond will end the schemes of Vidic soon. Template:Spoiler End
Personality and Characteristics
He is shown to be somewhat of a ruthless, intelligent but clumsy man. He also tends to be forgetful, always asking Lucy for passwords he either did not know or forgot. Though he is intelligent, Vidic is not smart enough to keep his possessions out of others reach like his pen, which he left somewhat out of his pocket allowing Desmond to easily take it out of his pocket behind his back. Warren appears to be a friendly person excluding to Desmond, the earlier subjects, and Lucy, as he is shown to have several friends within Abstergo if you read his e-mails. Vidic appears to extremely dislike all of the subjects, often trying to keep them in animus for long periods of time without a care of what will happen to them in anyway, shape, or form. Vidic also shows himself to be very impatient, when Lucy at several points try to postpone Abstergo from discovering the secrets in Altaïr's memories. He gets frustrated and angry at her, while the next day he can appear enthusiastic and friendly again. He seems to be proud man especially in the cause he supports.
Trivia
- His car is missing from his reserved parking spot at the beginning of the second game. It can be seen at the right side of Abstergo's underground parking lot.
