Suika Lands was a melon farm located in northern Yawata Plains in Izumi Settsu, Japan.
History
In late 1582, the Kakushiba ikki members Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke traveled to the farm to unearth the rumor of the yōkai known as the "Bakemono's" were in the region after corresponding with monk-turned-demon hunter Mamushi. There, they found two farmers sparring and debating with each other. Meeting them, they were asked about which melon they preferred. Answering the question, they soon fought the opposing farmer and bested them to honor the new "melon lord" of the season, debuking the rumor.[1]
