Argyll is a village that consists of Celtic people in western Caledonia.

History

During the Viking invasion throughout the isles, the village of Argyll was often raided by Vikings and in response, witch-warriors guarded and protected it people from the invaders. During one of these raids, a young Niamh burned down the raiders' longship, which sent the Vikings to run into the dangerous wilderness. Following in her mother's footsteps, Niamh grew up to be the witch-warrior of the village, protecting and aiding its people in their times of need.[1]

In 878, Niamh was peacefully meditating and being one with nature, until her apprentice, Birdie, came to find her. Birdie hands Niamh two letters as they dictated Niamh to become a spy for her people and the Women of the Mist of Avalon. The letter further states that Niamh had to go under the name of Nimue and infiltrate the organization, the Hidden Ones, and find their true intentions. Without any thought, Niamh, accompanied by Birdie, prepared from themselves in their village and planned to venture into Lunden, Mercia, to investigate the Hidden Ones.[1]
