The Rikkin family was affiliated with the modern-day Templar Order and played a significant role in several major operations conducted by Abstergo Industries. These included the Eye-Abstergo, the New Fluoride initiative,[1] the founding of the Abstergo Foundation Rehabilitation Center in Madrid, and the retrieval of Aguilar’s Apple of Eden.[2]These operations formed part of the Templars’ broader agenda to assert control over society through surveillance, behavioral influence, and memory-based technologies.[1]

Alan Rikkin, a high-ranking executive at Abstergo Industries and its CEO as of January 2012 following the death of his predecessor, was the most prominent member of the Rikkin family. He directly oversaw or contributed to many of these initiatives and served as one of the public faces of Abstergo’s corporate front. His involvement exemplified the family’s deep commitment to the Templar cause and their lasting impact on modern-day global operations.[3]

Legacy

The Rikkin family's involvement played a crucial role in recruiting new members into the Templar Order and advancing the conflict against the Assassin Brotherhood. Alan Rikkin personally advocated for the promotion of key Templar agents, notably supporting the induction of Juhani Otso Berg into the Inner Sanctum of the Order. This demonstrated the family's influence not only in operational strategy but also in shaping the leadership structure of the modern-day Templar hierarchy.[4]

Sofia Rikkin, known for her interest in Animus technology, collaborated and stealing from other highly skilled researchers to enhance the Animus interface and its capabilities. She worked closely with Layla Hassan to achieve this and worked fellow Templars to identify the bloodlines of key Assassins who had opposed the Order centuries ago. These descendants were later used in memory-based research to extract information critical to the Templar cause and to further their agenda of establishing a New World Order.[2] [5]
