Statue of Poseidon and Pluto (right)

Pluto is the Roman god of the underworld. He is the brother of Jupiter and Neptune, and the husband of Proserpina.

His Greek counterpart is Hades.

Influence

When the Medjay Bayek of Siwa hunted down a wealthy Roman woman, Gaia Afrania, in her final moments she prayed for Pluto to save her, promising varied sacrifices.[1]

During the Renaissance the Villa Auditore in Monteriggioni had a statuette featuring Neptune. It was paired with one of his brother Neptune.[2]
