Loukianos was a lackey of the Thirty Tyrants' leader Critias.

Biography

In 404 BCE, Loukianos learned that Critias would host a party at his house in Athens. Eager to attend, Loukianos had his associate Charicles procure an invitation, but when Loukianos was out at the agora, the misthios Kassandra infiltrated his house and stole both the document and his party mask to use herself. Thinking his fame would be sufficient to join the party by proxy without either item, Loukianos was shocked when the soldiers outside denied his attempted entry. Angry, he claimed that Critias was a friend—something Charicles had expressly warned him not to do—and threatened the soldiers with telling him of their perceived offence.[1]
