Jorge Francisco Isidoro Luis Borges Acevedo (1899 – 1986) was an Argentine short-story writer. One of his best known stories was The Circular Ruins (Las ruinas circulares) released in 1940.

Biography

Legacy and influence

The Assassin Charlotte de la Cruz was read stories of Borges' in her youth by her grandmother. Something she discussed with fellow Assassin My'shell Lemair in 2018. Charlotte compared being in the Animus and reliving her ancestor's memories to the protagonist of The Circular Ruins who dreamed up a man to create, only to discover that he too was dreamed up by someone before him.[1]
