Alligator

Alligators are a species of reptilians native to the lower regions of the United States and China. They are closely related to crocodiles. American alligators can be found throughout the Louisiana Bayou and are very territorial, becoming aggressive when they feel threatened.[1]
Alligator meat can be consumed as a form of exotic food. In 1725, the British Assassin Edward Kenway hunted two alligators in the swamp near Zhang's village in order to provide food to the villagers as gratitude for letting him and John Young take shelter in the settlement.[2]
During the latter half of the 18th century, the Louisianan Assassin Aveline de Grandpré collected American alligator eggs scattered throughout the Bayou.[3] In 1776, while exploring the abandoned Edinburgh Castle, the Assassin Ratonhnhaké:ton observed Lewis Hutchinson's collection of taxidermied alligators.[4]
