Aelfred's Jewel also known as just the Alfred Jewel was a piece of jewelry commissioned by Alfred the Great in the late 800s. Alfred's liaison got in conflict with the jeweler over payment for the work which was resolved by Eivor Varinsdottir.[1]

Behind the scenes

Aelfred's Jewel is an extant historic piece of art that despite being accurately in dialogue is depicted as just a large ruby in the menu. If Eivor decides to keep it and sell it later, it is only valued at 61 silver.
