Vigilant Grasp
The Vigilant Grasp was a yumi that Yasuke obtained in 1582. That year, after assassinating Shinbakufu member Bessho Harumasa,[1] Yasuke and fellow Kakushiba ikki member Fujibayashi Naoe learned that their ally, Koshiro, had been the target of retaliation by some soldiers still loyal to the Bessho clan. They vowed to track down and eliminate the threat,[2] tracking one of the soldiers, Shin-no-suke, to Maruyama Shitsugen, Tamba. There, the pair fought and killed him, retrieving the bow from his personal effects.[3]
