The Seals of Altaïr were a collection of five First Civilization artifacts[1]concealed with information and the memories of it's original owner: Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad. When brought together, would unlock a powerful weapon hidden deep within the fortress of Masyaf; a weapon sought by both the Assassins and the Templars.[2]
In 1257, Altaïr passed these seals onto Niccolò Polo along with the Codex during Masyaf's fall in hopes he would be able to hide them for future generations. Niccolò suceeded and hide the five seals in the city of Constantinople.
Ezio Auditore da Firenze, Grand Master of the Assassin Order learned of the seals' existence from a captive Templar during his exploration of the aged Assassin fortress in 1511, and traveled to Constantinople in the hope of obtaining them.[2]
Trivia
- From Assassin's Creed: The Secret Crusade each Seal is said to be made from stone and have a hole in the centre.
