Atlas Village was the name of a Syrian mountain village located not far from Masyaf.
History
In 1511, Leandros, a Byzantine Templar captain, fled to the village in a horse-drawn carriage to break pursuit of Ezio Auditore da Firenze, Mentor of the Italian Assassins, who had traveled to Masyaf in search of the library of Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad.
Ezio then managed to track down and kill Leandros, who had taken refuge in the village's fortress. Before departing, he recovered Niccolò Polo's journal from the Templar's body.
Trivia
- Atlas Village is only named in the artbook of Assassin's Creed: Revelations.
- The village contains a large Noria resembling the ones from Hama, Syria.
