Trivia sections are still valid but are now meant to be temporary placeholders for such information or sections that edits who are possibly intimidated by larger articles to put their content. We can typically see who last edited a talk page through its "History" drop-down menu section or watching the "Recent Activity" feed, but it's faster if everyone signs their name where possible.
