::::The fact that the Shaded are escaping from Tartaros into this realm points that this is not Tartaros. Since they also don’t call it Hades I still suggest we go with what the promotional media and the game actually use for the name which is just Underwolrd. :::::The only thing I'd like to note with that is that the Shaded could also be escaping another way. If they escape from the area by hiding between the Tartaros Veil, and thus becoming Shaded (and in some locations just behind a Tartaros Veil wall) it could also mean they're 'in a differen place', instead of the normal world map we walk in, Tartaros. In short, that would mean this world is Tartaros, and they escape by going through the Veil, thus appearing shaded. Unfortunately, as I am quite behind on Odyssey, having just completed the main story and not even having begun on the DLC, I cannot offer any perspective on this. :( <span style="color:#990000;font-family:Monotype Corsiva;font-size:17px">Sol Pacificus</span><span style="color:#D4AF37;font-family:Californian FB;font-size:11px">(Cyfiero)</span> 16:25, June 7, 2019 (UTC)

Tartaros vs. Hades

So, I started working on articles about the newest DLC and made categories (like Category:Locations in Tartaros) and started working on memory pages, location pages and item pages. I ran through most of the map writing articles about locations etc, until I just discovered a new location in the Chasm of Torment, namely Tartaros. A huge fortress in the northwestern corner of area, that has me a little worried.

If that fortress is actually the dungeon called Tartaros, that means the whole region isn't Tartaros but Hades, right? Or is the area Tartaros but does it also have a fortress also called Tartaros? I remember one of the side quests with Elpenor where we dealt with the Monger again, where we throw The Monger off a cliff, saying we brought the Monger back to Tartaros. I first thought that was because he was behind the Tartaros Veil in the temple, and thus not in Tartaros, but now i'm not so sure anymore.

I currently only have done most locations and mostly side quests, haven't come far with main quests yet. Does anybody have some more information about the subject? If the area (the whole map) turns out not to be Tartaros but Hades, with Tartaros being a small part of it, all articles and categories related to the latest DLC will need fixing in numerous ways :( I just don't know anymore what to think ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I'm quitely, secretly, kinda freaking out here, please help! Kennyannydenny (talk) 19:48, June 6, 2019 (UTC)

For what it's worth, I'm of the opinion that we don't change anything yet. Let's look at the whole picture, the dialogues, etc, and see if there's something confirming one or the other. Just relax: if there's a mistake, we'll fix it. :) Sadelyrate (siniath) 19:57, June 6, 2019 (UTC)

Some more info I gathered. I went into the fortress and behind the Tartaros Veil (where Herakles is). That giant room has the corpses of several giants in them, hinting that this building at least is the actual Tartaros prison. Kennyannydenny (talk) 20:19, June 6, 2019 (UTC)

If you go to the portals page it calls this whole region the Realm of the Underworld or just Underworld alongside Greece and Elysium. I propose we rename this to one of those and then make a page for Tartaros as the fortress. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 22:20, June 6, 2019 (UTC)
There is already a page for Tartaros. I personally wouldn't call it just the underworld then, as the underworld had a name in Greek mythology, and it was called Hades. Unfortunately, Tartaros is also often called just underworld (incorrecty) so that doesn't immediately mean that it isn't Tartaros. Kennyannydenny (talk) 07:57, June 7, 2019 (UTC)
One problem (imo), is that this part of the DLC is called "Torment of Hades", which is pretty much what Tartaros is in Greek mythology, suggesting that the whole episode takes place in Tartaros. There's also the fact that both Tartaros and Elysium are places within the Greek underworld/Hades, regions of it, like Messara and Pephka are parts of Krete. (I wonder where the third episode's set?) This particular page called the location Tartaros. In fact, it seems like alot of things already confirmed the name of the place being Tartaros. Nothing wrong with another location being called Tartaros. The solution would be to create a page with the name and showing the differentiation, such as "Tartaros (fort)" etc. XOdeyssusx (talk) 07:28, June 8, 2019 (UTC)
Actually that page just calls it the "Underworld" and that you are sending escapees back to Tartaros which would make it a separate place. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 08:35, June 8, 2019 (UTC)
