wp link to possible irl tree species?

So it looks like the tree is based on two possible trees which are both actually dogwoods but called red willow colloquially. They are used to make Kinnikinnick, a herbal smoking mxiture,said to have medicinal and spiritual properties. Both are pretty small though, 3 - 4 meters in height.
