The sanctuary is a location in Assassin's Creed II created by Domenico Auditore as a tribute to the greatest Assassins in history found underneath the Auditore Family Villa, with its entrance concealed behind a tall bookcase in Mario Auditore's study. It is revealed by Mario Auditore to Ezio as the game progresses.
It houses seven statues of seven Master Assassins, though there are six seals missing needed to unlock Altaïr's armor, which is also housed there.
