In 1747, Salah and his Assassins attacked Nāder Shāh. Although the Shāh was able to kill two of Salah's brothers, Salah was able to assassinate him with a sword. However, the Koh-i-Noor in the Shāh's possession was discovered to have ended up in the hands of Ahmad Shāh Durrānī, an Afghan chief.
