Mexico, also known as the United Mexican States, is a country located in southern North America. It is bordered to the north by the United States and to the southeast by Guatemala, Belize and the Caribbean Sea, and on the east by the Gulf of Mexico.
History
In 1519, the Spanish conquistador Hernán Cortés led an expedition to Mexico. The Assassin Giovanni Borgia accompanied the Spaniards, posing as a chronicler in order to find a Piece of Eden. The group of explorers sailed to Tenochtitlan, where they used translators to communicate with the local Aztecs upon their arrival in 1520. The Aztecs and their leader Moctezuma welcomed the Spaniards into their home, believing them to be gods.[1]
When the Spanish explorers grew greedy of the Aztecs' abundance of gold, and disgusted on the demonstration of a human sacrifice, a conflict between the two groups arose, known as the Night of Sorrows - giving Giovanni the opportunity to assassinate an Aztec priest and take their Crystal Skull. The Spaniards escaped Tenochtitlan, at the life of Moctezuma, and fled back to Spain.[1]
By 1759, the Templars had established a working colony in the former Mayan city of Chichen Itza, attempting to uncover artifacts from the ancient First Civilization ruins in the area. In 1769, the Assassin Aveline de Grandpré visited the colony and recovered one half of the Prophecy Disk from the ruins, while also assassinating the colony's overseer and the Templar Rafael Joaquín de Ferrer. Aveline returned in 1772, when she recovered the second half of the Prophecy Disk from another First Civilization ruin.[2]
Erudito posted a fake news story on 7 September 2012, which reported an increase of illegal American immigrants into the country.[3]
