Maxime Gorm was a young man who in 2016 used an Animus to explore the genetic memories of his grandfather, the British Assassin Eddie Gorm.
With Alice and another man, they were trying to learn the whereabout of the Apple of Eden 4 who was used by the Templar Gero Kramer to power a proto-Animus, Die Glocke, during World War II. However, because Eddie was put in Die Glocke as Maxime was reliving his memories, something went wrong and Maxime's consciousness was switched with Eddie's, the latter waking up in Maxime's body.
