Le Protée

Le Protée was one of twelve legendary ships encountered by the pirate Alonzo Batilla during the early 18th century.

A French slave ship, she brought African slaves from Senegal and the Kindom of Whydah to the West Indies and was protected by L'Alexandre.[1] The slave ship was eventually sunk in Los Mártires with the Man O' War.[2]

Trivia

  • Protée is French for Proteus, the Greek mythological deity.
