The Kashiwara Manor was the residence of the Iga native Yoshiharu in southern Hijiyama, Japan.
History
After the invasion of Iga in 1581, Oda soldiers killed Yoshiharu's wife and children and took over the residence, leaving him and his granddaughter Murasaki to wander and search for a new home.[1]
In 1582, the Kakushiba ikki member and shinobi Fujibayashi Naoe, on Yoshiharu's instructions, infiltrated the manor to look for lanterns that could help Matsu light up her cabin while she cooked. Although the manor was guarded, Naoe managed to find and retrieve three lanterns from the premises before heading back to the cabin.[1]
