John Harrison (unknown – 9 October 1757) was a member of the British Rite of the Templar Order.
Due to his intelligence and loyalty, Harrison became a trusted agent of the British Grand Master Reginald Birch. He was tasked with meeting Templar allies throughout the globe, such as Duarte Jorge Correia Pinto, Alonso Fernández de Heredia, and Magdelaine Lévesque and to help coordinate the Order's major operations, including the search for the Grand Temple in the British Colonies and the Prophecy Disk in Chichen Itza. Harrison would often make suggestions to Birch, such as moving the headquarters of the Chichen Itza operation to Louisiana under Madeleine de L'Isle's command and to have de L'Isle promoted to Master Templar as a reward for her services.[1]
On 18 April 1754, Haytham Kenway murdered the Assassin Miko at the Theatre Royal in London and acquired an amulet in his possession. Birch explained that the amulet was the key to the Grand Temple that he had been searching for decades. Harrison used his skills to narrow down the location of the storehouse and told Haytham that it was located somewhere in the northern part of the colonies, most likely New York or Massachusetts. With that, Haytham set off to locate the Temple and aquire its contents for the Templars.[2]
In 1757, Haytham learned that it was Birch who had his father Edward murdered when he was a boy. On 9 October, Haytham and his half-sister Jenny arrived at Birch's home in Troyes, France to confront the Grand Master, but Harrison stood in their path. Harrison attacked Haytham with a firearm at the house's stairwell, but Haytham dodged the shot and proceeded to grapple Harrison to the floor to demanded answers from him. Harrison remained silent, and Haytham responded by killing him with his Hidden Blade.[3]
