Assassin's Creed contains many glitches, both intentional and unintentional.
Intentional glitches
During some parts of the game, the player will experience intentional glitches, placed there by the developers. These glitches serve to allow the player to change the camera view.
Cutscenes
During cutscenes, the representations of nucleotides (DNA) will occasionally flash across the screen. This is an intentional glitch. Whenever this occurs, the player can press any button and the camera view will shift from behind Altaïr to a position looking directly at the subjects of the cutscene.
The glitches that occur during the cutscenes in which Altaïr speaks to dying assassination targets are an exceptional case, in that if the player does not press the button, the dying target is being held in Altaïr's hands, whereas if the player DOES press the button, the camera focuses on the dying target, who is standing on his own and talking.
Chase scenes
In addition, when Altaïr is being chased by guards, similar glitches may occur. If the player presses a button (L2 on the Playstation 3 version and RT on 360) while these glitches occur, something different happens- the camera moves into a chase position. The camera will move back behind the pursuing guards, allowing the player to view both Altaïr and the guards pursuing him, in essence viewing the entire "chase".
Unintentional glitches
- Main article: Bugs
Assassin's Creed is an excellent game, but like any game, it has bugs. Only a few are worth noting, however. I have also noticed that after playing the second game on the Xbox 360, I have ejected the disc to the second game, put the first game in, and while riding through the Kingdom in the first game, the exact same music track to the second game in the Appenine Mountains appears to be playing in the first game whilst riding thgrough the Kindgom.
