Ezio, my friend! How may I be of service?

This article is in desperate need of a revamp. Please improve it in any way necessary in order for it to achieve a higher standard of quality in accordance with our Manual of Style.

The Freemasons' insignia

The Freemasons were a fraternal organization formed in the late 16th or early 17th century, which permitted men of any religion to join. Some of the commanding officers on both sides of the American Revolutionary War were members, and several Presidents of the United States have been members of Lodges.

History

The Freemasons were responsible for transporting an Apple of Eden to the New World, carrying it across the sea,[1] which George Washington recovered from Virginia after the Siege of Yorktown.[2]

To remain unnoticed by British soldiers in Boston and New York, the Freemasons moved around in underground tunnels. Samuel Adams introduced Connor to the tunnels via the entrance behind the Freemasons Arms tavern.[3]

Over the course of the American Revolution, Connor explored the tunnels and came across some exits which required the magic lantern to be unlocked. To determine the placement of projected images on the door, Connor analyzed pages from The Charges Of a Free-Mason, which had capitalized clues inserted into the text.[3]
