Date Masamune (Japanese: 伊達 政宗; 1567 – 1636) was a powerful daimyo in Mutsu Province. He was the nephew of Mogami Yoshiaki.

Biography

As daimyo, Masamune began attacking nearby clans to expand his own, eventually ruling over most of Tōhoku.
