Cain was the first of Adam and Eve's two sons, and was thought to have murdered his younger brother Abel out of jealousy. However, it was later discovered that Cain had killed Abel in order to steal a Piece of Eden he had possessed.
Following this event, Cain became the founder of the Templar Order, and Clay Kaczmarek would later refer to the Templar cross as the "Mark of Cain."
Biography
Cain was the firstborn of Adam and Eve, two human descendants of the First Civilization, and killed his brother, Abel, to steal the Apple of Eden in his possession, committing the first recorded homicide in human history.
Cain's mark, which he was given for killing Abel, became the symbol of the Templars; a cross that they worked under to collect more Pieces of Eden.
Subject 16, Clay Kaczmarek, spoke of Cain in one of the Glyphs he had hidden within the Animus programming. There, he mentioned Cain's killing of Abel through quotes from the "Pearl of Great Price" scripture of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Trivia
- The Morse code message in Cain's Glyph translated to "Templar texts adapted by Mr. Smith". This likely alludes to Joseph Smith, the 19th century preacher who founded the LDS Church.
- The relatively unique title of "Master Mahan", which Cain bestowed on himself for being the master of the great secret, was used within the LDS Church.
