- "Blaise Legros has no master but money, sailing Templars and Assassins alike wherever they pay him to go."
- ―Ubisoft description.[src]

Blaise Legros was an opportunistic "captain for hire" who lent his abilities to anyone who would pay for them. Obsessed with expanding his fortunes, he sailed the high seas knowing no master nor morals. He was seldom loyal to his charges, often sailing them to their destination while knowing that they would perish. He had no allegiances or allies in life, chartering any that could add to his wealth.[1]
In 2012, his genetic memories were used by the Templar-owned company Abstergo Industries, to train their Animus recruits, under the title of the Privateer.
Trivia
- He took on groups as small as a single passenger or as large as a small army, and passengers that could not afford his services often found themselves "lost at sea".
- The title "Privateer" is misleading, as it implies that he was under the sanction of a government. While he may have acted as a privateer on occasion, he was, essentially, a pirate.
