The Somerset was a notorious British privateer ship that terrorized the Bahamas during the 1770s. In 1776, the Assassins Connor and Robert Faulkner set out on the Aquila to chase it down. After a short chase and skirmish, the Somerset was destroyed.[1]

The Aquila firing at the Somerset
Behind the scenes
The Somerset was a privateer ship introduced in Assassin's Creed III. It is distinct from the historical HMS Somerset which participated in the American Revolutionary War but was wrecked off the coast of Cape Cod in November 1778 after being forced aground by a storm.
