Jean-Louis Villatte (1751 – 7 May 1802) was a Haitian general and a Templar during the turn of the 19th century. In early 1801, Villatte tried to take advantage of the power vacuum that existed in revolutionary Haiti and declared himself governor, but by early August, Villatte was deposed and replaced by the Haitian Assassins Toussaint Louverture and Eseosa.[1]
