The Battle of Ulm on 16–19 October 1805 was a battle during the War of the Third Coalition, the first conflict of the Napoleonic Wars, which saw Napoleon Bonaparte's French Empire trap General Karl Mack von Leiberich's Austrian forces, resulting in their surrender near Ulm, Bavaria.[1] The Eagle of Suger's use contributed to the eventual French victory.[2]
