Battle of Rhode Island: Difference between revisions

The Battle of Rhode Island was a battle of the American Revolutionary War.

The War Council had left the colony of Rhode Island to its own defences, leaving the 1st Rhode Island Regiment to protect Newport on its own. Colonial Assassin Ratonhnhaké:ton sent recruits to support their effort.^[1]

During the battle, the Patriots had difficulties with the French fleet and General John Sullivan sent a scathing letter about it to Boston. Once again the Assassins interfered, convincing French Admiral Charles Hector to be the bigger man and keeping the Patriots from losing the French support.^[2]
