Auto-Da-Fé was a virtual representation of one of Arno Dorian's genetic memories, relived by a Helix initiate through the Helix Navigator.
Description
Arno met with Gouze at the Café Théâtre and learned of rare manuscripts being burned by royalists.
Dialogue
- Gouze: It seems some royalist fanatics called Les Actes des Apôtres are on a book-burning spree. Many rare manuscripts are in danger - meet my contact at Place Dauphine and save what you can. We'll find them a good home here.
Arno made his way to the Place Dauphine and located Gouze's contact.
- Contact: Thank God you're here! They've burned most of Monsieur Deschamps' library already. Please, save what you can!
Arno retrieved the manuscripts before they could be burned, following which he escaped the area and returned to the Café Théâtre.
- Gouze: I much prefer books in libraries to on bonfires, don't you?
Outcome
Arno saved the manuscripts and brought them to the Café Théâtre.
