In Assassin's Creed III, several outfits are available to those who complete certain challenges. Once an outfit is unlocked and equipped, it will alter Ratonhnhaké:ton's appearance. However, unlike armor, most of these costumes do not affect any other gameplay elements. Outfits can be unlocked through a variety of methods, which are listed below.
General appearance
Assassin Robes
These are Connor's regular robes, unlocked upon the completion of Sequence 5.
Captain of the Aquila
The Captain of the Aquila outfit was worn by Ratonhnhaké:ton by default when on board the Aquila. It could be unlocked for use in free-roam by purchasing the Digital Deluxe Edition of Assassin's Creed III or by pre-ordering the game at Amazon.[1][2]
Colonial Assassin
The Colonial Assassin outfit was previously owned by the Assassin John de la Tour. It could be unlocked for use in free-roam by purchasing the Digital Deluxe Edition of Assassin's Creed III,[1] by pre-ordering the game at Target,[2] or through pre-ordering it at Play.com.[3]
Ezio's Robes
Unlocked through Uplay for 30 points, Ezio Auditore da Firenze's Roman Assassin robes were available from the Animus databases. The robes were purely cosmetic, and were those worn by Ezio during the events of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.
