Propose Delete

Considering "The Veil" is only a part of a mad monk's ranting and not an actual location, I propose we delete. If we do not delete, it should be heavily rewritten and renamed the "Veil between worlds" or "The Veil", though it still seems way to vague to have a page on it.BearticWiki (talk) 17:48, 9 February 2022 (UTC)

But Eivor finds there the solution to the mystery of the ship. This may be an analogue of Tartarus Rifts, and not just a hallucination.

In addition, there is an arena where she fights enemies under a potion.

Again, as has been said, this "place" was a drug-induced hallucination. While Eivor also has visions in the region of Hugrheim, those were simulated by the Piece of Eden called Freya's medallion, similar in style to the "Tyranny of King Washington" alternate timeline made by the 3rd Apple of Eden.

Also, Balor's arena is not the same as Dún Bhaloir. One is a vision of a standing stone circle presented in the game map as being in central Ireland, and the other is a rocky spur hundreds of kilometers away near Tory Island off Ireland's northernmost shore. – Darman (talk) 09:00, 12 February 2022 (UTC)

No, this is not the same. As both Speak00790 and Lacrossedeamon said in the extensive Discussions thread you've posted in, the reason why we have pages on Aaru and the Duat are because those are places from the Egyptian afterlife recorded in real-world texts like the Book of the Dead, while Aten and Heb Sed are Apple-simulated areas with no mythical equivalent built using elements from Bayek's cultural upbringing. This Veil, while extremely loosely inspired by themes of the Celtic Otherworld, has no ties to the afterlife is usually associated with and again is from a drug-induced state.

I would hold off on writing about Balor's arena for the reason I gave above regarding geography, and because both it and the Apep cave are also the result of taking psychoactive drugs. – Darman (talk) 15:10, 12 February 2022 (UTC)

1. Balor is a creature of the Isu era, it is written about him in the article.
2. Veil - in it, Eivor mysteriously learns the story of a warrior. HOW, if this is supposedly a hallucination according to you.

1. Yes, Balor is from the Isu era (still think we should mark him as an Isu), but the vision location we have no idea about.
2. Eivor has figured out a lot through drugs, but we technically don't know if any of what she saw was true.

And to add to BearticWiki's last point, we only know Bayek saw Apep in his drugged state. We've no idea whether Taimhotep also saw it, or what her experience was at all. The battle was symbolic of what the ritual was meant for and did not really happen. – Darman (talk) 01:55, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
