Xiphos of Peleus

The Xiphos of Peleus was a legendary xiphos obtained by the misthios Kassandra during the Peloponnesian War.

Allegedly belonging to Peleus, a King of the Myrmidons and father of Achilles in Greek mythology, the sword was said to have accompanied Peleus throughout all his battles. During the 5th century BCE, the sword was later kept in a chest in Artemisia Fort. It was retrieved by Kassandra when she visited the fort during the war.[1]
