The whip was a weapon that was used by the Assassin Aveline de Grandpré, which she gained after she had defeated the slave master at Chichen Itza.
The whip was utilized by Aveline for combat, where she would pull an enemy closer to her and then kill them, similar to fellow Assassin Ratonhnhaké:ton's rope darts. In addition, Aveline also utilized the whip to navigate across several routes and rooftops, using it to swing from out of reach beams.
