Wanted posters are featured in Assassin's Creed II, Assassin's Creed II: Discovery, and in Assassins Creed: Brotherhood. They appear as part of the notoriety system, a new upgrade to the Social Stealth system. Each poster clearly states that the Pazzi will award 50,000 florins to anyone who kills or captures Ezio Auditore.

Once Ezio reaches a minimum of 1% notoriety, wanted posters are featured on the map as locations of importance. Wanted posters can be torn down by simply interacting with them, and each torn down reduces Ezio's notoriety by 25%. One must be careful when tearing down each poster, however, because if guards are nearby and see Ezio removing one, the notoriety meter will increase by a small amount, and they will shove you.

Wanted posters appear in determined locations in each game; however, strangely, in Assassin's Creed II, many of them are in unlikely and not easily viewable locations, such as on balconies or across the walls of a tower. This essentially defeated the purpose of publicly displaying Ezio. However, this has been rectified in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, wherein many more posters appear at street level, and in crowded areas.

In Assassin's Creed II: Discovery wanted posters appear only once per place, and once torn down, never reappear in that spot. Tearing down a certain number of posters will cause the Synchronization bar to increase in augment.
Strangely, many of the posters in Florence, Venice, Forli and San Gimignano were placed in odd places, where the citizens could hardly see them. This essentially defeated the purpose of publicly displaying Ezio. However, the posters in Rome are placed in more crowded areas, and more often at street level.

A wanted poster of Ezio initiated by the Pazzi.

Wanted posters are posters featuring Ezio's face and promising a reward for anyone who kills or captures him. The posters can be found in any city as soon as Ezio raises his notoriety.

Ezio encountered the posters for the first time when Paola sent him out to lower his notoriety after the execution of his family. The posters clearly show the Pazzi emblem and state that the Pazzi will award 50,000 florins to anyone who kills or captures Ezio Auditore.

Ezio tore down the wanted posters to reduce his notoriety. However, he quickly learned to be careful and evade guards while doing so, as his notoriety increased and guards would shove him when they saw him remove a poster.

Strangely, many of the posters in Florence, Venice, Forli and San Gimignano were placed in odd places, where the citizens could hardly see them. This essentially defeated the purpose of publicly displaying Ezio. However, the posters in Rome are placed in more crowded areas, and more often at street level.

Trivia

 • In Assassin's Creed II: Discovery, the player can use their own photo in place of Ezio's own wanted posters, using the DSi's camera feature.
 • "Morti di vivo" is an incorrect Italian translation of the phrase "dead or alive." Instead, it should be "vivo o morto."
 • The posters state that the Pazzi family will offer a reward, even after they all have been killed by Ezio.
 • The posters in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood remain the same as the ones in Assassin's Creed II, but the symbol of the Pazzi family is removed.
 • If the poster is on the wall of a Borgia Tower, igniting the tower will not lower notoriety.
