Swami (died 1227) was a former apprentice assassin at Masyaf and the murderer of Malik Al-Sayf and Sef Ibn-La'Ahad.He was the right hand man of Abbas Sofian when he staged a coup while Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad was in Mongolia assassinating Genghis Khan.

After Third Crusades

After the Third Crusades, Swami was a weak minded apprentice who couldn't learn the proper ways of an assassin. He was incompetent and thought he was better than other apprentices when he was one of the worst.

Rule of Abbas

When Altaïr returned from Mongolia, he was greeted by Swami. Altaïr asked him why he didn't check in with Rauf, and he replied that Rauf died of fever during Altaïr's absence. He also explained that Malik (who was temporarly leader of the Assassins while Altaïr was absent) was thrown in jail. Without a leader, a council formed with Abbas Sobias at the head. Altaïr asked where his son Sef was, wo whick Swami replied in Alamut. The next day, Altaïr went to see this council, where Swami intercepted their path and led the way. Altaïr met the council, and noticed that the council was made of the most weak assassins in Masyaf. During the arguement between Abbas and Altaïr, he heard that Sef was killed by Malik, henceforth his imprisonment.

The Truth

After Altaïr heard from Malik in the dungeons his side of the story (which was that Swami killed Sef and blamed it on Malik), he angrily went to the council. When Altaïr came, Swami joined in as well, who gave Abbas a burlap sack. Abbas looked in it, then showed it to Altaïr. Much to his dismay, it was Malik's severed head in the sack. After Abbas was done questioning Altaïr, he demanded that the Apple of Eden be given to him. For an unknown reason, Altaïr took it out of his robes and held it out.

Death

When Swami went to retrive the Apple, he whispered to Altaïr that before he killed Sef, he told him that his own father ordered his death. Altaïr became enraged with hate and pain so much that the rage was sent into the Apple. When Swami touched the Apple, his eyes popped out and his mouth was wide open, his body emitting a golden glow. Swami then stuck his arms down deeply into his throat, and started scrambling his very own organs. He then took his dagger and started cutting and stabbing himself, with one arm still down his throat. Maria Ibn-La'Ahad yelled to Altaïr that his raged has consumed him. When Swami cut Maria's throat due to his wild behaviour, Altaïr ran to her, who died in his arms. Finally, Swami's heavily mutilated and disformed body fell to the ground.
