Straton (died 405 BCE) was an Athenian commander who served as magistrate of Delos during the Peloponnesian War.
In 405 BCE, following the Battle of Aegospotami, Athens was in need of grain for its citizens in the city were beginning to starve. Straton and the admiral Phaidos was to prepare a shipment of supplies from Delos to be delivered to the city. Straton was asked by Phaidos' men to join the convoy do Athens. However, Straton was reluctant to do so and sought to come up with a myraid of excuses to avoid leaving Delos. Regardless, both of them were killed by the misthios Kassandra, who was hired by the Spartans.[1]
