Savannah is the oldest city in Georgia, United States.

History

In 1751, the Templar John Harrison was stationed in the city. He instructed the governor of Florida, Alonso Fernández de Heredia to send raids against the British forces in the city. In a letter to the Grand Master, Harrison recommended that Fernández be made the governor of Yucatán. With the increasing power of the Colonial Brotherhood and the possibility of Assassin interference, Harrison also strongly called for their Order to relocate out of Florida.[1]

During the Seven Years' War, the Templar Shay Cormac sent a ship to the city to retrieve an document held by its governor. Said document was of particular interest to Cormac's Templar allies.[2] After several continuous Spanish raids on British naval forces, the Templars sent an envoy to check in for updated reports from the governor.[3]

On 8 March 1946, the Assistant Secretary of the United States Treasury, Harry Dexter White met with the honorary advisor to the United Kingdom Treasury John Maynard Keynes at the inaugural meeting of the International Monetary Fund's Board of Governors in the city.[4][5]
