The Aquila was a Continental Navy vessel, captained by the Assassin Connor Kenway during the American Revolutionary War. The ship was used to sail across the Eastern Seaboard of North America and the Caribbean Sea.[1]
The vessel's broadside cannons could be loaded with five types of projectiles; including the standard round shotsand chain-shots to disable the masts and sails, grapeshot and shrapnel shells against enemy personnel and heated shots to start fires.[2]
The Aquila was also armed with swivel cannons[2] that could be used to kill specific targets, such as another ship's captain or gunpowder reservoir.[3]
