- You may be looking for the Tiber Island hideout, Galata hideout or the Sanctuary.
The hideout was the base for a team of modern day Assassins, consisting of Lucy Stillman, Shaun Hastings, Rebecca Crane, and Desmond Miles during the year 2012.
Description
The building itself was located in Italy, south of Monteriggioni. The building was divided into the warehouse and the loft area, which branched into the main room and three other rooms; one of which was locked with a reinforced metal door.[1][2]
Main Room
The main room contained most of the team's equipment, including the Animus 2.0, and the desks of each of the Assassin. A small fenced off area also contained a couch and a double bed.[1]
Lucy was usually found sitting at her desk, working on her computer. Her role was keeping track of the Assassin parties outside of the hideout, who were actively fighting the Templars.[1]
Shaun acted as a researcher, and sat at a desk next to a bookshelf and cork boards, which were hung with pictures and maps. There, he wrote the Animus' database, as well as provided tactical support for the other Assassins out in the field.[1]
Rebecca worked next to the Animus, keeping record of its performance, and maintaining its mechanism. She also added notes to the database using the username "RebeccaC84", such as to remind Desmond that a hidden Glyph could be found near a certain location.[1]
Warehouse
The ground floor of the building contained a large warehouse with stacks of crates, shelves and a small garage. Desmond practiced his Free Running skills here, climbing across the boxes and rafters of the warehouse. The area also contained the building's security systems.[1]
Trivia
- While using Eagle Vision, the road blockers on either side of the garage door are seen in blue, as if they are allies.
- If you look outside the windows in the main interior of the hideout, all of the surrounding buildings use the same models that are used in Ezio's memories.
- The keyboards used by Lucy and the other Assassins are unusual in that they seem to "mirror" standard keyboards, with number pads and the Enter key located on the left side.
- A picture and the word "alert" can be seen on Lucy's and Shaun's computer monitors.
- If you look closely when you talk with Shaun, you can see the Animus map of Venice and of Florence.
- The interior design of the main area in the hideout is similar to that of the Ubisoft Montreal office; it is not known if this similarity is intentional.
- There is a glitch that occurs if the player turns off the game after completing DNA Sequence 11 (during the cutscene when Desmond comes out of the Animus 2.0 then immediately asks to go back in for the next DNA Sequence). The player will be in the warehouse section of the hideout, but Lucy, Rebecca and Shaun will be nowhere, and you cannot re-enter the Animus. There is also a missing wall down in the warehouse section that you can jump through, but it will lead you to a pool of water with no way back up and nowhere to go. This glitch has been fixed in an update.
- In PlayStation Home, you are allowed to roam free around the main room of the hideout once you find all the glyphs in the Abstergo laboratory.
- After the dream you play as Altaïr, if you climb over the warehouse, you can see that the security is red, as if it was never activated.
