Nestor was the legendary King of Pylos and Messenia in Greek mythology.
During the Trojan War, Nestor travelled with King Menelaus of Sparta to form an army, leading the expedition against Troy where he was considered the oldest and wisest hero.[1]
Later on, a ship allegedly belonging to Nestor sunk of the coast of Messenia. This shipwreck was explored by the misthios Kassandra during the Peloponnesian War.[2]
