The Kingdom, otherwise reffered to as The Holy Land, was an open landscape that connected the cities of Masyaf, Acre, Jerusalem, Damascus, and Arsuf. It overlaps modern Syria and Israel.

The Kingdom was made up largely of open plains and mountains, and contained numerous small villages and encampments. Twelve notable watchtowers were scattered across throughout.

History

During the High Middle Ages, the Kingdom acted as neutral territory between the Crusaders in Acre and the Saracens of Damascus and Jerusalem.

The western end of the Kingdom was actively militarized by King Richard I, while the eastern region fell under the jurisdiction of Saladin and the Saracen army. Both sides possessed large armies on constant patrols.

At this time, both the Assassin and Templar Orders had a notable presence in the Kingdom as well. Assassin guards were stationed before the mountainous areas near Masyaf, while thirty Templar Knights were posted throughout the Kingdom's landscape.

Trivia

  • The achievement "Keeper of the Lions Passant" could be earned by collecting 100 King Richard flags found throughout the Kingdom.
  • A minor easter egg could be found in the Kingdom. One Assassin outside Masyaf would glow red in Eagle Vision, as he was originally intended to be Jamal, the traitor who opened the gates alongside Masun during the Defense of Masyaf.
