The Hookblade was a modification to the hidden blade adopted by Ezio Auditore da Firenze during his time in Constantinople.[1] By the time of Ezio's arrival in Constantinople, the Hookblade had already become a common tool of the city's Assassins.[1]
Gameplay
The Hookblade is designed to make travel quick and easy. Ezio can use ziplines planted throughout the city, making movement across distances faster. It is stated by the developers that ziplines increase navigation speed by 30%. It can also be used as a weapon in combat, wherein Ezio pulls enemies in for a close-ranged attack.[2]
Trivia
- According to the June 2011 edition of GameInformer, Assassin's Creed: Revelations will feature a new control system. Pressing B on the Xbox 360 and O on the PS3 will trigger the Hookblade.
