The Holy Grail is a mythological artifact playing an important part in Arthurian literature.

On 7 September 2012, Abstergo Industries CEO Alan Rikkin sent an email to Animus Project lead Dr. Warren Vidic that current examination of Subject Seventeen indicated that all artifacts related to Jesus of Nazareth were literary devices or derived from Pieces of Eden, and not actual objects. Despite being unable to confirm whether the object existed and what its use might be, the company decided to focus its resources on retrieving other artifacts.[1]
