Aline was a Hidden One from the Frankish Brotherhood during the 9th century CE.

In 870, the Chinon bureau's leader Mahaut received increased reports of Viking activities. In response, she sent Aline to the North to study their language and learn more about the Norse people, while Aline's lover Matthias and Oisel were sent to Antioch to assist Basim Ibn Ishaq.
