Frederick I (Swedish: Fredrik I; 1676 – 1751) was prince consort of Sweden from 1718 to 1720, and King of Sweden from 1720 until his death and also Landgrave of Hesse-Kassel from 1730.

During his reign, Frederick received an offer from King George II of England to finance the Swedish Navy. The Assassins in Stockholm, who were using the Swedish Levant Company as a cover, suspected that the English offer might be backed by the Templars and thus wrote to the Mentor of the Colonial Assassins Achilles Davenport.[1]
